Biografia

Francesco D’Ausilio (1972), Ph.D.

Food and wine historian, he researches and teaches in international programmes emphasising food history, culture and politics, global food systems, biodiversity, bioeconomy and green emerging technologies.

Adjunct professor of Clean Tech, Food Systems, Biodiversity, and Bioeconomy at Luiss – Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli.

He gained extensive experience in international and North American education programmes, teaching courses on food politics and history and culture of food provided by members of the Association of American College and University Programmes in Italy (AACUPI).

He is a referee for peer-reviewed papers in journals, a member of the researcher directory of IEHCA – l’Institut Européen d’Histoire et des Cultures de l’Alimentation, and a co-founder of the International Society for Gastronomic Sciences and Studies. Member of the scientific board of the scientific series Ciborama.

He collaborates with the Research Center Law and Investment on Future and Earth, Lab Gov – Luiss Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli, and the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats at the European Parliament.

He earned a Ph.D. in History at Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Università degli Studi Roma Tre.

He founded RO.ME – Museum Exhibition, Italy’s largest and most qualified trade fair for museums, cultural venues, and destinations.

He periodically presents papers and research findings in international symposia and conferences and edits papers in peer-reviewed international journals and repositories.
